Exploring the Park

A few days ago, we decided to go to a local park that we had heard a lot about.  L had a great time exploring the different play equipment that they had.  There was this one area with a tunnel to crawl through and then a ladder to crawl up out of the crawl space.  L thought that was just the neatest thing ever of course!

There were plenty of stairs and slides for climbing at this park, which is always awesome!

And of course he enjoyed the swing!
I think we'll be going back.  :)

Summer Fun!

Ok so L is way into choo choo's now.  My parents got him a little riding train and he pushes/rides that thing all around the neighborhood lol.  One of the biggest reasons that I love it here is that he can actually ride his riding toys in the road because the traffic is really calm.  Anyway, pushing/riding the choo choo and lawnmower has become part of our morning routine.
L also loves when his dad mows grass.  He helps out for a while by pushing his lawnmower, but the greatest part is when his dad dumps the grass clippings because L LOVES to play in them.  He throws them over his head and rolls in them and is just in heaven.  haha Who knew grass clippings could be so awesome?
We built him a sandbox in the backyard and he really seems to be enjoying it.  One of the first things he felt it needed was water added to it from the pool.  He spent a good bit of time filling up his watering can in the pool, carrying it to the sandbox, and dumping it.  :)  Overall the sandbox has been a hit and he loves filling up his bucket with sand and then dumping it.
L really loves to watch his dad make sand molds, he's so interested in the process.  He helps pat the sand in the mold and then his dad will put the mold on the sandbox.  L loves to smoosh them into the sand then.  :)  We've had so much fun with him in the sandbox lately!

Our New Home

We are finally completely moved and almost settled, which is great since my nesting instinct is beginning to kick in.  L has done so wonderful with the move and really really seems to love the new house.  We spend most of our days outside since the yard here is more easily accessible and the road in front of our house is just a small road with little traffic.  He loves being able to push his choo-choo and lawnmower up and down the road...we do that several times a day lol.  One of the first things L got when we moved to this house was a slide.  He's really been into sliding lately and he's had a great time with this one.  He's pushed cars down it and spent a lot of time one day gathering grass clippings, climbing to the top of the slide, and dropping them down.

We tilled a plot for a garden that we're hoping to get around to planting soon.  L had a great time helping out with that.  He helped me pick the tilled grass out of the garden and had a wonderful time playing in the dirt and throwing it everywhere haha.
One day we made a homemade roller coaster and L had an absolute blast.  I loved hearing him snort as he cracked up and the smile on his face was priceless.  Our driveway is on a slight incline so my husband would pull L up to the top of the driveway and give him a push and then I'd catch him at the bottom.  This lasted for quite some time and L cracked up every time!  I was glad I had enough time to run in and grab my camera for a few shots.

We love our new home and are looking forward to exploring more of the community!  I'm so happy with how well L has adjusted to the move!

Before We Go

Before we moved L and I decided to make the best of things at our old house and packed in as many fun activities and trips to the park that we could.  Half of our furniture was already at the new house at this point so it was pretty boring to be home.  We went to the park every morning for several weeks, it was great!  L enjoyed running around the yard naked and playing in paint one day, I love him so much!

We spent most of our days at the park though, and L's favorite park activity is throwing rocks in the stream. He loved it when his dad was home from work and able to tag along!

He's really into pouring stuff now so we emptied one of our water bottles and let him use it in the stream.  He spent a lot of time re-filling it and pouring it again.
I miss our days spent by the stream now that we've moved, but we're all definitely happy to be where we are now.  :)
