This past week I took L to visit my family and took him to a small museum while I was there. I also took him to a jumping place with tons of inflatables to jump in and slide on. I didn't get any pictures there though because I was busy jumping, climbing, and completely wearing myself out lol. I did get some pictures at the museum though. They had a really neat exhibit that L enjoyed, you stuck your hand in these cubby holes and felt the different textures. For the older children it was a guessing game but the little ones just enjoyed feeling the textures.
Today we took him to the park and had a ton of fun! I can't wait for it to get a little warmer so we can go out regularly! L has been carrying around a spoon almost religiously lately and it's really handy for him and the activities he does. So he took his spoon to the park and first used it to stir up woodchips on the playground.
After walking around the park for a while we found a stream that was just totally awesome. L used his spoon to scoop water and dig dirt from the bank of the stream. He also began building a dam with leaves, dead grass and rocks. My husband and I worked really hard to ignore the fact that it was probably a bit too cold to be submerged in water; the wheels in his head were turning a bit too much to interrupt. :)
I also took a couple pictures of how wet he got. :) This boy is SO much fun and he loves exploring new things!

Road Trip!
This past weekend we took L on a road trip and he did great! We went to COSI and met some friends up there, it was awesome! They have the nicest little kids area, and I think L could live there and never get bored haha the problem would be getting him to take a nap! He loved climbing up the slide and then sliding down.
They had different wheels mounted to the walls to spin around and he LOVED those! They had different things in them something different would happen when each one was spun.
He climbed up in this little house and found a sink that was his size and got a look of complete delight, he really loves to help us do dishes in the learning tower so I guess the discovery of a sink at his level was just totally awesome.
Among other activities there was the water room. I think he could have spent all day just in there, and I'm so glad we packed a change of clothes because he was completely soaked!
This was such an awesome trip for the whole family, we will definitely be doing it again!

What We've Been Up To
Ok it's been a while since I've been on here, mainly because I'm pregnant and by the time L is asleep I want to be asleep too haha. I just entered the second trimester though so I think I may have finally gotten my energy back! *fingers crossed* L watched a lot of TV during my first trimester, which I wasn't a fan of at all but sometimes you just have to do what you can. We did do a couple activities. The first one we did was to make bubbles. I just put food coloring and water in a large glass bowl, then sat it on the ground and gave L a whisk, put in some dishwashing soap and showed him how to stir the bubbles to make bubbles appear. He had a great time trying to stir and make more bubbles appear!
We went to the park...L loves swinging more than anything! It was a bit cold though so we didn't get to stay as long as we had originally wanted to.
L is really into his fiber optic light now. Every time we go into the play room I have to turn it on for him. He takes various objects from the play room and drops them down on the light to see what happens haha.
I incorporated a few natural elements into the playroom, a basket of stones and a basket of shells. L loves to play with both of those! The stones usually end up all over the floor and he likes to examine each shell individually.
I'm so happy to have my energy back so that we can start doing the fun, messy activities again!! I've really missed playing with him, but at least we did get to do a few things. :)
